- Collecting evidence can be time-consuming.

You may think of going directly to a governing or regulating body to complain.
This is often an option.
However, going directly to a governing authority can be challenging and fraught with obstacles.

Whistleblower Protection
The False Claims Act provides relief for an employee, contractor, or agent who “is discharged, demoted, suspended, threatened, harassed, or in any other manner discriminated against in the terms and conditions of employment.”
False Claim Act
The False Claims Act has unique procedures and rules. Failure to follow those procedures and rules could be costly.
It’s also important to have an experienced attorney who knows how and will be fundamental to protecting your rights.
Documentation As Evidence
You may take only copies, not originals, of evidentiary documents. Your side will need to review with the defendant’s attorney before disclosure all of the issues shown in the documents.
Stay away from privileged and trade secret documents, or segregate them. Redact, as necessary, patient information protected by privacy laws.
Settlements or Trial
Defendants liable under the False Claims Act may have to pay for damages or losses plus penalties for each false claim.
Most successful whistleblower cases are resolved through settlement negotiations rather than a court trial.

The False Claims Act rewards whistleblowers whose lawsuits are successful.
The law offers rewards to encourage whistleblowers to come forward, recognizing the professional and personal risks they often take to expose and stop fraud – fraud that may endanger or compromise the lives of patients, members of the US military, and others.

Justice is indeed the quality of being just. It means fairness under the law. It can also be thought of as moral rightness or upholding the justice of a cause such as upholding the cause of our democracy.
Certain things necessary for a strong and vibrant society can be upheld by laws and the requirement to uphold the law while other things need to be upheld simply because they are the right thing to do – that they are morally right.
